'Clustertje van huizen behouden'
(Uit de Gelderlander van 6 september)De PvdA Zevenaar wil samen met andere politieke partijen zoeken naar oplossingen voor gedupeerden van de nieuwe wijk Zevenaar - Oost. Deze wijk ligt ingeklemd tussen de Ringbaan - Oost, de Bemweg en een gedeelte van de Sleeg, de spoorlijn naar Winterswijk en aan de oostkant van het nog te realiseren industrieterrein Hengelder II. Een fietstochtje over het Hazenpad opende de ogen van PvdA'er Peter Donker. "Ik fiets vaak over de Sleeg en Bemweg, maar het Hazenpad kende ik helemaal niet. Als je daar fietst, richting boerderij De Bem, dan denk je: wat brengen we teweeg. Ik hoop een clustertje van woningen, bij de bocht van de Sleeg te kunnen behouden. Dat is bijna een dorpje. Het plan zou zo gemaakt moeten worden, dat je dat overeind houdt.".
Aan de andere kant wil de PvdA dat er een goede oplossing komt voor bewoners die weg moeten. Donker: "Ook al blijven hun huizen behouden, sommige mensen raken zoveel grond kwijt dat ze er niet meer kunnen wonen. Neem een hobbypaardenboer aan de Bemweg. Als deze man straks nauwelijks nog grond heeft, kan hij zijn paarden niet langer houden. Mensen die jaren geleden plaats moesten maken voor de Betuwelijn, konden we een huis in de nieuwe wijk De Roosdom in Oud-Zevenaar aanbieden. Zo'n alternatief zouden we nu ook moeten hebben voor de mensen die moeten wijken voor de nieuwe wijk Zevenaar- Oost." De PvdA wil ook rekening houden met de sociale en maatschappelijke verbondenheid in Oud-Zevenaar. Veel bewoners delen hun woning met ouders en zijn daarmee mantelzorgers. Wat de sociaal-democraten per se niet willen, is dat de 1500 nieuwe huizen een nieuw dorp vormen. Zij vinden dat de Zevenaar- Oost een bijdrage moet leveren aan het overeind houden van de winkels, het theater, de muziekschool en andere voorzieningen in Zevenaar.

Overigens, als de Raad zich ergens voor moeten gaan inzetten, dan is het wel het tuindersbedrijf, laat de naam van de ondernemer even bewust weg, dat nu voor de tweede keer in korte tijd verplaats moet worden (laten staan is in mijn ogen geen optie en dat wil de ondernemer zelf ook niet).
Ik hoop dat het College dit probleem zelf bij de kop pakt en SAMEN met deze ondernemer gaat zoeken naar een alternatieve lokatie. En dan voor een elegantie oplossing gaat.
Het zal je gebeuren, dat je binnen zo'n korte periode weer moet verkassen.
En voor de overige bewoners die niet in het plan willen wonen, zijn er best mogelijkheden te vinden.
Of dat iets als de Roosdom moet worden, daar kun je over discussieren. Wellicht omdat juist deze groep op een plek wil wonen met voldoende ruimte om zich heen, en heb je in de Roosdom ook niet.
Ik ben blij te horen dat je de zorgen van deze mensen serieus neemt en een oplossing wilt zoeken.
